This Year 3 History Inquiry project is an overview of a lesson sequence to be outworked over a term. It demonstrates my ability to use curriculum, assessment and reporting knowledge to design and organise learning sequences and lesson plans. The priority for the project was to captivate student's engagement and provide them with unique, hands-on experiences which would provide meaningful and authentic learning. The experiences in the sequential unit of work vary greatly, from in-class discussions, research and reflection, to excursions, poster making and celebrations. The unit of work also covers learning area integration, including Maths, Literacy and Arts, further demonstrating my ability to understand content selection and teaching strategies.
