Assessment two for the Diverse Abilities and Curriculum unit was a case study. The assignment brief was to demonstrate an understanding of the educational needs of and supports required for, students with diverse abilities. This section of the case study focuses on discussing how cultural and socio-economic can lead to incorrect assumptions of learning disabilities and strategies that can address this error.

 This assessment task received a distinction grade and comments from the tutor remarked on the high quality of strategies chosen and explained in the essay. These strategies explicitly link to student needs and strategy keywords in the descriptor for standard 1.3.
