6. 2– Identity and plan professional learning needs

Assessment Two of the Professional Educator: Developing Teacher Identity unit required me to write an essay on the concept of resilience. In order to complete this essay, I completed 5 modules in the Building Resilience in Teacher Education (BRiTE) professional learning program and earned a certificate. Completing all modules helped me in developing a variety of strategies that can assist in my resilience building to help me combat the challenges that will arise during my teaching experience. I believe completing this program has aided me in reaching the ATISL graduate standard 6.2 which involves engaging in professional learning and improving practice (AITSL, 2017). I now have a comprehensive understanding of the relevant and appropriate sources, such as the BRITE module, that can assist in my professional learning. I have confidence that I can implement my knowledge and strategies when I begin teaching and will be able to adapt to the new, exciting environment.
