Rationale
To demonstrate that I am working towards the graduate standard 3.2 (plan, structure and sequence learning programs), I have presented a series of four lesson plans and a rationale that I developed for an English literature unit.
This is an appropriate artefact because it demonstrates my capacity to construct a series of lesson plans that is structured on students existing knowledge, and offers differentiation in learning activities and assessment. The artefact outlines explicit teaching directions, and incorporates the use of effective teaching strategies such as metacognition, questioning, altering the physical arrangement of the learning environment, relationships, and personal reflection.
