Rational

The following evidence is a 5-week lesson plan overview for a unit completed in term 2 of 2020 called Teaching Science in the Primary Years. The plan was created following Bybee’s Primary Connections 5E’s Teaching and Learning Model which is composed of 5 cyclical stages. Each stage was represented by one week/lesson and focused on "Sudden geological changes or extreme weather conditions can affect Earth’s surface (ACSSU096)" from the Year 6 curriculum. Students learned about Earthquakes and how science has created sustainable living environments in regions with high quake activity. The lessons also include formative, summative, and diagnostic feedback which is placed with consideration through the lessons. This shows competency to arrange learning content effectively in a particular teaching sequence.

My goal for the future is to learn from peers and mentors on how to sequence activities, topics, and experiments. I know that my peers and mentors are valuable at providing help and resources to ensure I provide great education and I hope to get help from them.
