Evidence
- Year 4 Geometry Assessment - create, implement, evaluate summative assessment for unit adhering to required curriculum outcomes.
Best Practice
Teacher will:
- Choose appropriate assessment tasks to measure learning progress against the curriculum
Meeting the Standard
1. Designed, implemented, evaluated and provided feedback for the Year 4 Geometry unit. Students were able to complete the assessment independently and with a high score rate. This reflected on the success of the sequential lessons around this unit of learning. Students were evaluated in accordance with curriculum outcomes.
Next Steps
1. More experience is required in creating the end of unit summative assessments. Further development of rubrics and 'star charts' will be worked on with my mentor. The purpose of these will be for students to use as a self-reflection and formative assessment tool. I will discuss with my mentor the process of creating the end of unit assessments and learn how to keep records of student progress and how to further interpret this information to inform future student learning goals and paths.
