ABC data collection
During my time in my current support role, I have assisted in the collection of ABC data for several students to identify patterns of challenging behaviours and help develop cognitive and strategies and adaptations to the learning environment which will support their learning success. The following artefact is an ABC data collection chart which targetted two high frequency behaviours of concern. Data analysis allowed the identification of patterns of antecendents and environment which we were then able to adapt.

Professional Development: Protective Practices
Protective Practices guidelines outline staff and volunteer responsibilities and duty of care in the school setting to assist in the development of safe and respectful relationships with students. Professional development was provided to the staff at my current school site in response to staff needing to respond to new students with complex behavioural and learning needs, to ensure that they were aware of the appropriate boundaries within their caring role and comfortable with their duty of care.

Complying with training requirements
The following artefacts demonstrate that I am aware of and comply with the organisational requirements of my workplace to provide a safe and supportive learning environment. This includes holding up to date qualifications in First Aid for the Education and Care setting, and current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect training.
