Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of research into how students learn and the implications for teaching.

Knowing the students in my class is key for successful teaching. Having a clear understanding of each student’s background, family as well as physical, emotional and intellectual abilities/disabilities will ensure the learning needs for each student is planned for (Whitton et al., 2021 pg. 34). Through the artefact lesson plan two, it demonstrates my ability to vary a lesson plan to suit specific students’ needs and how a specific student (Ellie) who has a learning delay can be incorporated into the lesson and how teaching practices can be altered to best suit this student.
