Evidence for 6.2: BRiTE Module Certificate
BRiTE Module Certificate
What is the evidence?
The BRiTE module certificate was attained in the unit EDC163 – Developing Teacher Identity. The BRITE modules provided an understanding of not just my professional identity but also my personal identity. BRiTE is a program that was designed to help pre-service teachers develop their understanding of the abilities and methods that help enable resilience in their teaching career and is comprised of 5 online learning modules. The 5 modules are building resilience, relationships, wellbeing, taking initiative and emotions.
How does it fit this standard?
This evidence fits within the standard because by completing the BRITE modules it is engaging in professional learning and can help improve practise. Within each module teachers can take self-quizzes, understand skills and strategies, apply skills to practical conditions, learn about what professionals in the profession have discovered and develop their own personal toolkit
Why did I choose it?
I chose this as evidence as it shows a way to engage in professional learning as well as provides the certificate of completion. You can always go back to the BRITE modules and see what areas needs working on and what areas you are competent on as well as how to further develop skills.
How could I build evidence for this standard?
This evidence can be built for this standard by continuing to engage in professional development and by using these modules to further the learning.
