Accounts Manager at Dustcotech

May 2013 - July 2015

At Dustcotech I had many responsibilities including all aspects of accounts receivable and accounts payable, including making international payments through brokers. I was the HR person as well as being responsible for end to end payroll. I maintained the petty cash, reconciled all bank accounts and company credit cards and completed daily transactions in the accounting software. In addition, I also completed the BAS/IAS statements and mandatory government reporting including superannuation. I monitored pay rates and updates to the relevant Modern Awards and met with various key stakeholders including the local bank branch and company accountants and negotiated better telecommunications and freight options for the company. Additionally, I was responsible for maintaining and updating office policies and procedures, filing and answering phone enquiries.

Reason for leaving - this was a genuine redundancy as the Company Director moved the administration and clerical duties to an external agency.

Office Manager 2IC/Warranty Claims Officer at Super Amart

May 2008 - December 2009

During my time at Super Amart, I was responsible for all aspects of customer service including face to face transactions and phone enquiries. I was also tasked with processing customer payments and finance applications. Additionally, I was responsible for notifying customers when items were due in store and to arrange deliveries and collection of customer purchases. I was promoted after only one month and became the 2IC. I was also tasked with processing warranty claims and scheduling repairs of items under warranty.

Reason for leaving - Having worked more than 10 years in retail, I yearned for something more, so decided to embark on a new career, so I made the move and returned to full-time study.

Customer Service Representative at Blockbuster Video

January 2004 - May 2008

In this role I was responsible for tending customer transactions, restocking movies, receiving new stock and entering into the POS system, cleaning the store, banking, processing end of day and end of month data and collecting overdue movies and outstanding accounts. I was also responsible for ordering snacks to restock shelves and assist the store manager as required.

Reason for leaving - Relocation due to my husbands career. Unfortunately this fell through after my final days.

Customer Service Officer at KFC

March 1999 - January 2004

This role was a customer service role where I was required to take orders at front of house or in drive-thru and pack orders. I was also required to restock shelves and packaging, cook using dryers, assemble burgers and clean the store. I obtained my health and safety certification for the store and was a team trainer.

Reason for leaving - having reached 20 years of age, my hours were infrequent as cheaper staff were given the hours. Living out of home, I needed a stable income.
