The submission of a year 4 biology formative and diagnostic assessment task and accompanying rubric is perfect evidence to suggest you are achieving the graduate level for AITSL standard 5.1. Your rubric demonstrates a good range of knowledge on how to assess students based on their level of understanding of content, delivery of content and use of enthusiasm and audience awareness. Additionally, you have thoroughly explained within your rationale how you have met the standard through the three specific assessment tasks, well done! If I could make one suggestion it would be that during EDP220 when I created the DDP my UC suggested we use the Rolfe reflective model when introducing an artefact to give a broad understanding behind why the specific artefact was chosen, how it relates, the quality of the artefact and how you can then improve on this standard and work towards moving above the graduate level.

Hi Anita,

Your DDP is great and definitely a good work in progress! I’m very impressed with the high standards of professionalism highlighted throughout and all your information is readily accessible in relation to academic and work skills, certificates and accreditations, personal attributes and professional development. This will be very important when applying for teaching jobs in the future.

If I could make any suggestions to further improve your already great DDP, I would suggest incorporating an ‘Acknowledgement of Country’ on your dashboard to acknowledge and thank the traditional landowners in both Brisbane and In WA where our campus is located. Other then that your DDP has actually provided some insights into how I might improve my DDP. For example, I really like that you have a large picture of yourself to ‘put a face to the name’. (I’m going to borrow this for my DDP!)
